"Down on the Farm" Cub Scout Day Camp
        June 2020

Come join us down on the Farm as we cluck, moo, and ribbit our way into a fun adventure. There will be good food, good friends, and good times at this fun event. 2021 National Jamboree Kickoff
        January 11, 2020  

Scouting’s Flagship event is one-of-a-kind. It’s a gathering of approximately 40,000 Scouts, leaders, and staff that showcases everything that is great about the BSA and its members. Held every four years, the Jamboree is an amazing opportunity for participants, volunteers, and visitors to experience the best of Scouting, all in one place.  Features include; one of the longest zip line courses in North America, a world-class skate park, ATV offerings, treetop canopy tours, rock climbing, patch trading, stadium shows, and much more!

BALOO/Intro to Outdoor Leadership
        February 28-29, 2020

Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster/Den Leader Specifics this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Packs andTroops in order to be considered “trained”.

College of Commissioner Science

The Tri-Councils of Conquistador Council, Great Southwest Council and Yucca Council announces the 2020 College of Commissioner Science (CoCS) and University of Scouting (UoS).  The tracks to be offered will be forth coming but is expected to include Roundtable Commissioner track.  If you are interested in support this training activity as a Faculty member / Instructor please contact your Council's Training Chair.

Ideal Year of Scouting

This April we will be unveiling a new tool to help unit leaders succeed- the Ideal Year of Scouting! This tool makes it easy to plan your den and pack meetings, as well as giving you insight into the activities that will be taking place during the 2020-2021 school year. Even if you are a seasoned leader, this is going to be very useful.
