Since Halloween is on a Saturday this year, Conquistador Council is hosting Halloween-themed meetings the first week in November. Cub Scouts and their parents are encouraged to join in on the festivities during their Cub Scout's regularly scheduled virtual meetings. Cubs and parents are invited to wear their Halloween costumes as well as saving their carved pumpkins to show off during their meetings. The Cubs will also be making their own slime during their meetings, which is why parents are strongly encouraged to participate and help their Cubs make their own spooky slime. Each Cub Scout will need to attend the virtual meeting with an 8oz bottle of Elmer's Glue, Saline solution (1 - 2 tablespoons worth), baking soda (1 tablespoon worth), and optional food coloring or glitter for that extra touch. There may be time in the meeting for a few extra activities, so make plans to attend these spooky meetings!
Scouts BSA will compete again each other to find out who is the most knowledgeable Scout! Bring your A-game to your regularly scheduled meeting because this is going to get intense! (The contest only covers the things you've gone over thus far so don't stress about learning new things)
Wondering about your Cub Scouts Advancement in the program? Our staff will also take some time to discuss the Scouting App (Scoutbook) to help parents track and help record their youth's advancement in the program. Scouting is a journey, and Scoutbook is a great record keeper for your Scout's progress.
